I have so many great craft ideas saved in my email inbox. I save them with the thought to share them with you, but then I end up getting busy and not sharing for a few weeks. So I've decided that every Tuesday I am going to share the craft ideas I have found on other crafter's blogs that I love. I hope you enjoy!
I love decorating for Easter more than any other holiday! I love the bunnies, eggs and just the colors all together. This year I really wanted to display something in my home that reminded me of the real reason we celebrate Easter. I love the song, "He is Risen" so I took the first verse and made it into a print. There are a few different color options and I hope you enjoy it!
Just right click the image and save to print one of these for yourself!
After posting THIS button egg on my facebook page, my friend asked if I could make her a button egg with her last name initial in the middle. I love doing custom orders, so I was really excited! I knew I needed to make it an 8x10 egg instead of a 5x7 in order to have enough room to put an initial in the middle. I hope she likes it!
Okay so now that we know what tools we need for our Cricut machine, let's go over how to use it!
The very first thing you are going to want to do is go to Obsessed with Scrapbooking and print their handy dandy settings table. Trust me on this, it's a life saver!
Next, watch THIS video from http://www.scrapbook.tv/ that teaches you how to load and unload your paper. Under the video there are steps as well with photos and more instruction which is very useful! I tried to make you a video of all of this but it didn't work out so well, technical difficulties :)
Once you learn to unload and load your paper, you will want to watch the videos below that I made for you using the cartridge "Create A Critter". I also go over the different buttons on the keypad. It's a little blurry, so I am putting a link below to an excellent website that goes over the buttons in much more detail.
Oh and just a warning, this was my first time doing videos! Yikes! I had no idea I had such a silly voice :)
Thank you for the huge response to my first Cricut 1o1 lesson, I hope this one helped as well! Please let me know if you have any questions or what you would like me to go over in the future. Cricut 101: Lesson 3 will be going over cartridges and I will post that next week.
P.S. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions! auntielolocrafts at gmail dot com. Seriously I want everyone to enjoy their Cricut's as much as I have enjoyed mine :)
I have such great news! Tori's photo made it into the top 3! The winner will now be decided by the corporate office of Matilda Jane and we will know this week! THANK YOU so much to everyone who voted!!!!
Tori is my sister's BFF and she is so generous. My sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor a little over a year ago and Tori took the most amazing photos of my sister's family before the surgery. She has not only been a great friend to my sister through all her medical trials, but to all of us.
Okay without further delay, the winner is......

So incredibly cute! What a keepsake for that lucky mommy- I voted! Good luck to your friend.
Congrats Wendy! And something I forgot to mention is that the cute little girl in the photo is Tori's daughter! :) Lucky indeed!
P.S. Who's impressed I finally figured out how to put the random.org picture on my blog?! Janet, who won the last giveaway taught me!
Remember Binky the Owl? Well I just finished making his friend Pickwick the Hedgehog! You can purchase the pattern for a VERY reasonable price at the Little Hibou Shoppe. Here are some photos I took while I was making it.
The Little Hibou Shoppe just added these adorable Woodland Forest Friends patterns too!
and I may be obsessed with the giraffe and elephant from THIS set
